    *** MORROW MD1 or 2-to-3 *Double Sided* Conversion Patch (release 2) ***

                *** For rev 1.x or 2.x BIOS (I really hope) ***

Prima Needa: You must have insalled *double-sided* disks in both drives
for this to work!

Files needed on A:

     DDT.COM \

     *FORMAT*.COM > Supplied by Morrow

     *SYSGEN*.COM /

     EX.COM \

PATCHn.SUB > Supplied in this library (n is revision #)

     DOUBLEn.COM /

Plus, a blank disk is needed for drive B:

I. New system organization: Your new setup will be four-drive with two
single-sided drives (your old ones) as C: and D: , and drive E: as the
virtual unless otherwise specified. If you want to change this, edit the
appropriate "PATCH" file (Patch1.sub for rev-1 and patch2.sub for
rev-2), removing the semicolons where it tells you.

This patch also incorperates Brian Leyton's QUIETDISK patches
automatically, so there is no need to do that after completion.

II. To convert, you do the following steps:

     1) *SYSGEN* an image onto a file called "CPM64.COM"

*** NOTE: THIS SHOULD NOT BE DONE WITH A ZCPR3 SYSTEM. IF YOU ARE
INSTALLING ZCPR3, THEN DO THE INSTALLATION AFTER DOUBLING THE
SYSTEM! ***

           a>*SYSGEN*

           source drive (CR to skip)A

           source on a, etc.. <CR>

destination drive (CR to reboot) <= <CR>

           a>SAVE 46 CPM64.COM

      2) Run the program that temporarily makes your second drive
*double sided* (of course, I am assuming you do have a
*double-sided* drive installed for both A and B).

                      a>DOUBLE1 (if a revision 1 morrow)

                                      or

                      A>DOUBLE2 (If a revision 2 Morrow)

      3) *Format* a blank disk in drive B

           a>*FoRMAT* B:

           [a bunch of copyright blurbs]

*double sided* double density *format* <== the important
      message

                                                     (If it doesnt say that,

                                                      then it isnt working)

      4) Patch the sysgened image "CPM64.COM"

                 a>EX PATCH1 (or EX PATCH2 for rev-2 morrow)

[the screen will move very fast for a while; Ignore any
?'s that come up: they are normal]

      5) Move the new image onto the second disk.

           a>*SYSGEN*

source drive (CR to skip) <CR>

destination drive (cr to reboot) B

           destination on B, etc. <CR>

destination drive (cr to reboot) <CR>

      6) That's all. If there were no errors, the new disk should boot
      up with 384K of space.

If you encounter any problems, feel free to leave me a message on the
LAMUG RCP/M or my system at (818) 348-3348. I am not sure how this will
react with revisions other than 2.1 or 1.5 (they were the BIOS's I
modeled this patch using), so any feedback would be appreciated!!
